Elza Soares: A Life Corre is a graphic study for a biography of singer Elza Soares. This book is a study of academic nature, without any commercial purpose. It was created during the Visual Communication Project class of PUC-Rio's BA Design course and its objective is to tell the singer's life story through a heavily visual narrative.
Having performed for over 60 years, Elza has great importance to Brazilian popular music and is, above all, a great example of resilience. This publication aims to give visibility to her life and struggles, in order to introduce her to a younger public. José Louzeiro's book Cantando para não enlouquecer, published by ed. Globo in 1997, was used as a textual and photographic reference. No copyright infringement was intended. For the digital version, all text was replaced with lorem ipsum as a way to showcase the editorial design.
